Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

We are seeking a post-doctoral research fellow to join the Center for Wellness Research and Training (CWRT). We are a growing team of mind-body and behavioral medicine researchers with expertise in mindfulness-based interventions, mental health, integrative oncology, non-pharmacological interventions for pain, and food is medicine. The CWRT has five investigators with multidisciplinary expertise, including two licensed clinical psychologists (PhDs), two naturopathic physicians (NDs), and one allopathic physician (MD). The department also includes over 90 practitioners including osteopathic and allopathic physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, nurse practitioners, Chinese herbalists, psychotherapists, massage therapists, yoga instructors, nutritionists, and culinary medicine specialists.

CWRT has strong research mentorship, research grant administration, and project support staff as well as relationships with the Cleveland Clinic Center for Value Based Care Research, the Lerner Research Institute, and investigators across the Clinic’s specialty institutes. The successful fellow will receive hands-on experience assisting investigators with a range of extramurally funded (e.g., NIH, American Heart Association) clinical intervention trials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Draft reports, abstracts and manuscripts

  • Conduct literature review and meta-analysis

  • Assist with grant writing and research project support

  • Perform data analyses

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in psychology, public health, nutrition, or related field (by fellowship start)

  • Strong writing and quantitative data analysis skills

  • Experience with clinical design, methodology, and conduct in human subjects

  • Peer-reviewed publications in health psychology, nutrition, and/or behavior change

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Content expertise in mindfulness, nutrition, and/or eating behavior

  • Grant writing experience

  • Experience conducting or supporting patient-oriented clinical trials
